I feel your pain. I've had asthma for 14 years now and have seen several doctors. The truth is, there is no known cure for asthma at the moment. But the symptoms can be prevented. It really depends on what causes your brother's asthma. Mine is usually dust and hot weather. But I think the universal method is using the control inhaler.

I cured my Asthma the natural way?

It feels rubbish

Its a tightening of the airways, making it harder to inhale air

Not much you can do to help other than make sure you and your friend are both calm, encourage her to take deep controlled breaths in through her nose and out of her mouth

...and obviously slow controlled use of an inhaler

(do NOT other her water or chewing gum {which a school nurse offered me once!!} or anything else like that, calmly controlling the breathing is all she wants to be concentrating on)

...failing that call an abulance (i spent many of my younger years in hospital for asthma, sometimes there's not much else you can do.)

im 32 and have had asthma since i was 11, it feels like u cant get any air in, the only way u can help her is keep her calm during an attack, and keep a spare puffer on you, just incase she forgets hers, take care

Like a band is tightening around your chest. Like there's not enough oxygen - no matter how much you breathe. Hand her the inhaler.

make sure she has her inhalers close by and if it lasts longer than a little while or she begins to panic and can't breathe, call 911
