Nope Norton only uses it's phising protection on Internet explorer but Mozilla Firefox has it's own security software when you install it. But use Fire Fox to block spyware and surf safely so I would recommend useing firefox also it's very useful and I've never had a problem with firefox but one time I needed to restart my computer because of a slight problem when it wouldn't start when I clicked on it.

Hello. I hope this input will help. I don't know exactly concerning the issue here, but I believe they're recommending Firefox as it's not as prone to malware, viruses, worms, and the like. Viruses get onto your system via the computers use of javascript, and so Firefox does not use javascript. Firefox tends to be safer and less prone to the ills found via IE. Firefox also tends to use less resources on your pc. I use a program called CCleaner. When I use Firefox solely it has less to clean up than with IE... so there has to be some standing for that.

I don't get it - what does your Antivirus have to do with your browser AND videos from the net?

You can of course run Norton without Firefox...
