I thought I would be career minded, single, going out at night to mingle and party. Just having a blast. Now, I have a 13 year old daughter and 10 month son and am a stay at home mom. So, no, I am in the opposite place of where I thought I would be as well.

Yes, I am happy that I am 38 years now, and have to children a nice home and my hubby.
I was a business woman for all my life so this change, is very good because I am here, this journey is wonderful I have the privilege of living it!

I always thought I'd be married with kids by now as well as starring in a west end musical! (Didn't want much). Am actually a single, childless, nurse - a far cry from my childhood dreams!

Can you remember that game we used to play where you'd trace around your hand and divide each finger into four segments? We'd put boys' names on the top, age we'd get married in another, number of children we'd have in another and the kind of house we'd live in in the last.
Well! It was wrong. I did not get married to Adam (and the Ants) at 21, have three children and live in a palace.

My life hasn't turned out as planned. Too many forks in the road, with a dash of "the road not taken."

i never expect and visualise for long term... i just consider and try focussing what i got today and now... how to improve it? yes i sometimes do get distracted from my focus... but soon i realise that focus on whats now in ur hands... this will never come back... so enjoy this moment and by enjoy i never meant party shopping stuff i mean... absorb what u can learn be fully conscious...
you may and you got a right to feel upset for what u didnt get... but do not upset for too long... so that the present time slips... go on... move on... take as it comes...expect from yourself... not others...cuz you can rely on yourself for you can always do it... but others are a gamble...
may be i didnt satisfy ur survey... pardon me... takecare move on...
