Well Fiji is not important in the world stage. So the view of most western countries is negative to the coup. However there is still a level of cooperation to encourage future elections. This attitude is reflected by the UN and the EU.
However I believe China, as usual is courting any small government that will help and support them in International forums.
Fiji is divided into the peaceful and economically strong west and the violent capital in the east.

They have no problem with the military coup in Fiji. Fiji can't afford democracy just yet. If you can find a small oil reserve you might get a bit of attention. You might not like it as much as you think though.

Ha! the EU is so far up its own backside that it probably hasn't noticed, it has certainly been kept off the radio news, as for the UN that mismatched bunch would not know how to deal with anything. So I expect that the only stance will be one of surprise that anyone takes an interest.

Both have tried but neither could find it on their maps, The UN were worse asking 'Is it north or south of Dallas?'
