Of course you're not wrong! Depending on what time of year you go to look and which variety of tree you're looking at, you can see little spit-wad like buds, various colors of post-its, long, flowing sheets of tissue paper, sometimes even nearly full-size sheets of note paper (though those are becoming more and more rare, what with e-mail and all). If you're very lucky, sometimes you'll even run across the elusive origami tree. Now that's a sight you'll never forget!

Paperis made from wood pulp which is subsequenty derived from trees. I hope one day they make paper from something else though.

Paper does not come from trees, it comes from the mailperson and the newspaper delivery person.
