The meaning is to grow, reproduce, and die. The earth is a rotating rock that harvests energy. Every living organism produces energy. They all have the attraction gene to energy. Example: Men testorone, bugs always near street lights. When we die, our elements feed all living. Therefore we are all expendible in this world. Doesn't matter what we accomplish or create. We can't reach outside of Earth for meaning. The meaning of life is simply, grow, reproduce, and die. People might say god, happiness, success. I just go by the basics. Before being civilized. There was eat, grow, reproduce, die.

My meaning of life is to help people that are in need, to have fun, and be open minded. I believe you decide what your meaning is, sometimes it just takes some deep thinking to figure this out, or a major event. In my case it was a major event, I had a mental breakdown because I smoked weed while I was on an anti-depressant I was taking for stress head-aches. Because of this I had to be submitted in a Hospital's mental ward. The ward only contained about 20 people, separated into two groups. Most the people there had overdosed on a drug, tried to commit suicide or had a breakdown of some kind. 1st day I was pissed off that I was put there and didn't want anything to do with these "crazies". By the second day I was asking people what they were in for, giving helpful advice and treating them like friends. I helped them realize that no-ones perfect and inspired them to be better people by example. It felt really good to see the change in them, to know that I helped them feel better made me feel like my life was worth living. I knew then that I had to help people that are suffering, I now work with mentally handicapped and I have to say it's the most rewarding job I've done so far. I plan to be a paramedic someday because my meaning of is to help others that are truly in need.

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.
I've come to two conclusions recently:
1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.
First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.
Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.
So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.
To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

what i think the meaning of life is one main thing: to love and be loved. the main thing is to love everything that you are thankful for, like friends, family, nature, etc.love is very poweful, and in a way, life cannot exist without love. i also believe you should learn, reproduce, and overcome obstacles in your life. people should enjoy life as much as possible, and to seek freedom in any way. another is to explore our frontiers and go beyond it. imagine the impossible. people should respect nature and their own species as well, and to be nice and kind to each other. a hateful world will soon collapse.

The meaning of Life is Happiness - Dalai Lamma
My point of view is, You, yourself is the meaning of life. Everything you do in life has a reason and it's meaning. So, you are the only one who can tell the actual meaning you your life.
In general, I agree with Dalai Lamma. Happiness is the bottom line of Life. If not, what else? Enjoy life and always be Happy!

Yours sounds like survival. Not bad. Certainly a good start. But the meaning of life is love. Without love it is nothing. Love yourself, others & the planet. If you can do that you will have all that you need.

Life – it has a meaning and loving purpose - you just have to find your purpose and live it.
I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each person is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody! There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. I don't believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.
You need to decide now to live for God rather than for yourself. You spend your life on Earth preparing yourself (as best you can) for death. I don't see death as a scary, negative experience, but birth into a bliss filled eternal life with God. I believe that this is something you have to consciously choose or not during your life on earth.
The meaning of life is for us to discover that we are true children of an infinitely loving God, to find out what our responsibilities are to our Creator, and to fulfill those responsibilities. Each of us is called to affirm, accept and develop the talents God has given us. -
