Well it might sound crazy, and i thought the same, but what you do is, hold your keyboard up right and shake the crap out of it, even give it a bash on the edges and back and shake it again, i know it sound crazy but i did it, at a LAN the other day, over a blank peace of paper and yeah you see all the dead skin, dirt, and what ever else is in there come out. you'll be surprised! i was...

The canned air is the best thing for it. You can take the keyboard out and tap the dirt out and that may work as well. You could try removing the keys but you could break one and have to buy a whole new one. That wouldn't be good. Buy a can of compressed air and use that! Safe and efficient!

your best bet is to get a can of air (from almost any store, but bestbuy and circuit city stores should definitely have them), and hold the keyboard sideways and spray air between the keys. If you are looking for a quick clean and do not have a can of air, just hold it upside down and tap on the back of the keyboard.

Use a soft paint brush to clean the dust out of the keyboard. I do this every day to get the dead skin, as it's called, out of the mechanism. The brush makes a great duster for all parts of your computer, without causing damage to sensitive parts.

A WHILE BACK I SPILLED SOME TEA ON MY KEYBOARD
AND OF COURSE IT WAS STICKY AND THE KEYS WERE
GETTING STUCK. SO IF YOU FLIP YOUR KEYBOARD
OVER YOU WILL SOME SCREWS . UNSCREW THOSE
AND REMOVE THE KEY PAD AND WASH THE HARD
COVER WITH SOAP AND WARM WATER AND WIPE
THE KEY PAD WITH A WET SOAPY TOWEL. AND OF
COURSE I USED MY BLOW DRYER TO DRY THE KEY
PAD AFTER WIPING IT DOWN.... GOOD LUCK
