Is it actually possible to make a copy of a key by making an impression of it in material similiar to clay or something like that? Recall seeing it done in a movie like 007 or the TV series Get Smart.

yeah, it can be done. I saw a news report many years ago, where parking attendants were making imprints of peoples house keys when they left them on the cars key chain. Then they would run the plate and get the address and then they would have the key to open the door and rob the place.

very possible. its been done in a lot of movies and if you actually have a key indent pad, you could do it to and then take it into a hardware store and get a copy. i think they even sell key imprint pads there
