When I was young, my mom used to read me this book about a tall skinny man that had dark hair. He had these itchy red pajamas and i think they had a hole in the knee or elbow. I think the story may have been about how his day was going all wrong or something, but I'm not sure. The only thing i remember is his pajamas!!! It was a little golden book. If any one could tell me the name of this book, I would really appreciate it. I would like to read it to my kids! Thanks

Could it have been Hiram's Red Shirt? Hiram kept trying to patch a hole in his shirt, taking "A little from here..." and sewing it up. My kids really liked that one!
