Telemarketers have been ringing me non stop today and Im sick of saying NO not interested thankyou. What do you say to them or do you just hang up the phone?

If I happen to answer the phone without checking the caller id and end up talking to a telemarketer, I usually make something up. If they are trying to sell me phone service- I tell them I work for the phone company. If they are trying to sell me magazines or newspapers, I tell them I get them already for free. It works for me. They don't call me anymore. You can get one of those TeleZapper machines too. If the telemarketer is calling you on an automatic dialing machine, then the TeleZapper gives a beep before it rings to you that makes their dialer system think that your phone has been disconnected. The only problem w/ the TeleZapper is that if you have LoJack for your car then LoJack can't call you to tell you about your car because that's automated too. You can buy one of those TeleZapper machines for about $20.00 in department stores and pharmacies. Good Luck.

Depends on the day really. Most times i just don't answer it thanks to the power of caller id. But other times we've answered n said no politely n they talk us to death or wont let us hang up. Others we answer the phone some goofy way- my sister once pretended to be a child n said she didn't know where her mommy was n she was all alone. And still other times they have given the phone to my Lil niece n let her do or say whatever she wants.

your phone company might have this thing that screens telemarketers for you. it just tells them to hang up and not call again. your phone doesnt ring if they are selling something

'Not interested'. If they keeps on ringing, I'll just hang up the phone.It won't be long after their fingers hurt from dialing the same number and get tired....lol

I have an EXTREMELY loud police whistle which i blow into the receiver. that's after i get the necessary info to report them as i am on every do not call list in the universe.

Please hold the line. And then I pretend that I cannot hear what They are saying, or that I am an Answering Machine. Eventually They ring off!

Get a small bell and when they ring.... press the bell and say
"We can't take your call at the moment..... we're making love."

I start ordering Chinese food and don't stop until they hang up....And some egg rolls....and fried rice... LOL !
