I hope your not a public noser are you? I also hope you wash your hands and sanitize your fingers after you have cleaned out the cavity as well.
To understand why your nose runs, you need to know what mucus (say: myoo-kus) is. This is the gooey, sticky, slimy material that's made inside your nose (also known as snot). Believe it or not, your nose makes about 0.5oz. of snot every day!
Make your next question be about how you tackle your butt hole itch please, you seem to have done very well so far bro! Good for you to bring this hidden albeit important issue to the people of North America.

Yes, it's a small pleasure before I fell asleep. It's part of the hygiene of keeping every part of you clean.Plus, it's gross to see someone with a booger in his nose...lol

I have really long nails and I pick it to the bone. I also pull the hairs out. My brother sniffs a flame to burn the hair out.

I'll admit, when blowing my nose doesn't work and I have one of those hard boogers in my nose that is bothering me, yeah, I'll pick it. Haha.
