My boyfriend and I have been dating for one year and I am looking for cute, personable ideas for a gift besides cooking dinner. We already live together and I cook for us all the time. Plus some of my cooking deals with wine, and since he has to buy it because I am underage, it would ruin the whole surprise.

My question is, what would be the best thing to get your bf of one year? He is into electronics, but he has every movie under the face of the earth,

He doesn't care for the crap that just lies around either. Gift cards are great but it takes a touch of personality out of it.

Any ideas would be great. I am looking for simple or totally out there ideas. I am on a budget of 75 dollars. Let me know!

I think something along the lines of sports tickets or maybe a sporting event you both could goto. Also, engraving jewlry or a gift to personalize it makes a statement that its personally for him and you put thought into by putting a saying or something only you two would get. Remember when shopping, grown men always love toys! (not the sex kind, but those work too!) I got my fiance (now) after a year dating I got him a rocket set and he loved it. good luck, hope this helps in some way!

When my finance and I made it to the one year milestone (back when he was still my boyfriend) I bought him a brand new west suit. His was getting shabby. He loved to go out and surf and he loved the idea. Now wet suits are not cheap and I had to do quite a bit of saving to be able to budget for it. He did the same and bought me a 1/2carat 18ct white gold diamond commitment ring. He knew that it was the sort of thing that I would like. My point is not to go out and spend hundreds. Just get something personal that he can use. Guys tend to be practical creatures. Buy him something he could actually make use of... and then maybe something personal too.

Get him something for the house.. Maybe a picture of the both of you together framed and matted.. It's personal and 75 dollars would cover the cost..

I bought mine a polariod camera. At every milestone, I let him take a naughty picture of me.

He has never forgotten our anniverseries or anything!

A shirt and a tie to match with for him to go to work. Or a jacket (hoodie) maybe.
