Ignorant because most people admit there illiterate or fix it but everyone denies being ignorant

Ignorant. Illiterate people can still learn to read. Ignorant people usually never snap out of it.

Both illiteracy and ignorance can generally both be remedied with education. They're tragic situations, but curable. It's willful ignorance that's the problem. In that case, the person stubbornly refuses to learn, and can't really be helped much.
