With Afflalo gone, someone else will have to step up. Westbrook has been promising when he's played this year, and Keefe has been magnificent, especially during the last few games, including the loss against Florida. And then there's their number one recruit, Kevin Love. In high school, he was simply amazing, so hopefully under the direction of Coach Howland, he can thrive at UCLA. Mata has also improved this past year, and hopefully will continue to do so. UCLA has the depth to reach the Final Four again, and with Howland as a head coach, they've got a great shot to do it. It seems that every team Howland is involved in has a way of improving over the course of his tenure.

Yeah, UCLA can definetly make the Final Four. Their Starting lineup will look like:
PG: Darren Collison
SG: Josh Shipp
SF: Luc Richard Mbah Moute
PF: Lorenzo Mata
C: Kevin Love
Kevin Love is a very good player. UCLA played an up tempo offense because of Collison's speed. Kevin Love's weakness is his ability to run up and down the floor. Love also tends to fatigue when he gets a lot of minutes. UCLA's success depends on Kevin Love's ability to run up and down the floor and his endurance. If Love can't keep up with the team then UCLA won't make the Final Four. Right now he's coming to UCLA 25 pounds overweight.

Absolutely no reason why they can't. Because of the way teams don't keep players for four years any more (and seldom have them for more than two), every year is basically a clean slate for the NCAA. For example, Texas would probably have been a heavy favorite to advance to at least the final four next year, but of course, Durrant leaves after one year, so next year they'll be right back where they were two years ago.
Teams that have consistently good programs will always have a chance to make a run at the final four.
