On a right triangle; a sine (of a particular angle) is the ratio of the side opposite that angle to the hypotenuse.
The sum of all the angles of a triangle will add up to 180 degrees and you already have a 90 degree (right) angle.
When the angle of interest is greater than 90 degrees you cannot have a right triangle.
Since the 4 (90 degree) phases of a complete sine wave period (aka a full circle) are similar; one leg of the angle is mirrored so that the angle will be less than 90 degrees.
For 95 degrees the mirror image is 85 degrees so the sine of 85 degrees = 0.99619469809174553229501040247389
or 0.9962
The axis of reflection is the y axis (for angles from 90 to 180 degrees). The angle of interest is located at the x-y origin and has one leg on the (plus) x-axis.
