I hear you. The Democrats now want to help homeowners that didn't do their homework and took out substandard mortgages to get houses they couldn't afford.
I understand completely that people want their piece of the American Dream. I want it myself. I can't afford it though, so I stay in an apartment and pay my bills.
This country seems to want to subsidize every fool on the planet that can't seem to add and subtract, much less balance a checkbook. No one deems it politically correct anymore to get yourself out of the mess you got yourself into.
A lot of people want instant gratification. If you buy a home with no money down, you have to know that something's gotta give.
People need to listen to the old adage, if it sounds too good to be true....it probably is.
While I sympathize with people who are facing foreclosure, its not like its something new. It happens to a lot of people,
and its up to them to start over and rebuild their dreams.
Anybody want to pass legislation to help people who lose their homes due to catastrophic medical bills?
I too am a damned tired taxpayer.

because all trial attorneys are Democrats. and many them are Senators, and Representatives. Like John Edwards, who liberals used to love until eventually he embarrassed them, etc. also, they do no longer comprehend what "health care reform" skill. they only thinks surely each and every man or woman that exists (except you're speaking about an unborn newborn - they don't imagine they exist and make contact with them "fetuses" with a purpose to experience better functional about killing them) benefits a loose lunch off the backs of the "wealthy" (every body that makes better funds than them - it really is everybody). Liberals are truly unfair human beings. They love unfair and frivolous proceedings and the attorneys that help them take position. An get together is the twenty or so surely LAME "charges antagonistic to" Sarah Palin. Trial attorneys are what liberals use to wrestle what they're frightened of, and that's how they make funds - they won't ever ever get rid of them. those are the info, as a lot as they could hate me now, that's real. Oh - and they're going to hate me now because besides the very shown reality that they carry forth about "tolerance of alternative concepts, and existence than your own" they propose with the exception of Christians and Conservatives, and every body that disagrees. they're hypocrites with the help of and through! And maximum of them are not to any extent further extremely smart.

~So what you're saying is, you are a winner, you make a lot of money, but you want "stupid", poor people to pay for your housing? I'm not a rocket scientist either, but that doesn't add up either. After tax breaks, you want housing aid on top of it?
No one on welfare ENJOYS being on welfare. No one ENJOYS living from paycheck to paycheck. The elderly and disabled don't like it either. The soldiers that come home suffering from shell shock, (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) I'm sure they don't like it either.
These people aren't the only ones having difficulty making ends meet. Why don't you get this?
You act like you pay every ones bills! I'm POSITIVE you don't! Don't give yourself that much credit, you aren't all that.~

It is simple. You build a middle class the way FDR did it with the reforms after the Depress in the 30's. Progressive income tax which in a small way redistribute income across the population of workers in American. Social Security so people don't starve to death during a cold winter. Social spending so the Government can transfer money to lesson peoples fundamental problems like averting inflation, stopping contamination and corruption and putting crooked lawyers in prison where they belong.
Also, business's like Enron need to be stopped before they garner the power to steal multimillion dollars and ruin thousand of people's retirement plans.
Also, the flat tax idea is a rotten idea designed to further enrich the upper class of America who are already living in a separate Nation behind gated communities.

Do the Republicans? I don't understand how we can live in a country where 130,000 people control 80% of the wealth and your main concern is a few deadbeats. I bought my first house with a GI loan. That was three houses ago.

I'm a Democrat and I will be angry if they attempt to throw a bunch of money at people who behaved irresponsibly. Fraud is a different issue.
I'd be interested in seeing a breakdown of the political affiliation of those losing their homes. I'll bet it ends up being about 50/50.
Of course Bush throws billions down the toilet in Iraq and people seem comfortable with it.

Actually, we do.
Fannie May is a federally created corporation that gives out low interest home loans to first time buyers. The idea was that the more homeowners there were, the better the economy.

That's not entirely true. I have seen quite a few non-payback loans, grants, or assistance programs that the wealthy are and have been taking advantage of. If they can afford to do it on their own, then why are they helping themselves to what was initially set aside for the poor?

Only read the question.
Answer is- Why do you need someone to pay your bills? Only make minimum wage? Well according to you guys, that's your own fault. I will help you by raising the pay. Hoo-ray for us liberals. While we were raising wages, guess what? More citizens were hired. Why pay increased wages to illegals?
If you don't get it by now, sadly you never will. Fact is very few of us will become millionaires. My money is not on you!

there are MANY programs available to many different kinds of people... if you're having problems, on the low end of society, you would most likely qualify for some programs...
check into it, you would probably be surprised...
but, most Republicans don't want the help, which is understandable, I personally don't want help if I don't need it either, and I never have, so far, knock on wood
if you're having problems and make a good amount of money, most in both parties would tell you to live with in your means...
