Ottawa does, but the engravers haven't had to spell Ottawa in 84 years, and won't again this year.
JK Nation - No crowing here...just tired of the jagoff Sens fans like the one asking this question coming out of nowhere after 1 playoff game. I don't pick my team to win much this season and am the first to admit it...but the way most of the Sens fans here are acting, you'd think they won the cup tonight.
Bald...whatever - Proud Pens fan since the late 80's, including the past 6 years of misery. I'm just tired of arrogant Sens fans(who haven't won a damn thing in any of our lifetimes) being so obnoxious over 1 playoff game...especially with their recent playoff history. Saddest thing is that I've actually been a big Heatley fan for years.

Senators 9, Penguins 2
The Ottawa Silver Seven have an additional 10 Cups, so technically the City of Ottawa has 19.
But I would argue that the two the Pens have are more important than any of the Sens Cups, because they happened more recently and they happened in the post-expansion era.
Still, nine pre-historic Cups beats two more recent Cups, if you are into history. Personally, I think the past is the past and I wanna know who's gonna win in 2007. But that's just how I watch sports.

The original Ottawa Senators won the Cup in the early decades of the 20th century, moved to St. Louis for a year before folding around 1931 or 32. The current manifestation of the Senators has no Stanley Cup to its credit nor does it recognize the records of their predecessor. The Penguins have two Stanley Cups to their credit.

It depends.
The Penguins have won it twice. The Ottawa Senators have won it six times ... sort of. The current franchise is an expansion team that has never won the Cup. However, the pre-1930 Senators won was good enough to capture the Cup six times, including four in a row in 1903.

The current Ottawa franchise has never won the cup, the current Pittsburgh franchise has 2. I wouldn't count the wins from the original Sens.
The original Senators had 10, before moving to St Louis for a season and folding in 1934. Pittsburgh original franchise was the Pittsburgh Pirates and never won the cup, they moved to Philadelphia for 1 season and folded in 1930.

Like the Toronto Maple Laughs, the old Senator hockey club had the intimidating skill required to defeat a league composed of 10 teams...no such luck with 30. Or less for that matter :P

Trick question. In the modern NHL era Ottawa has never won. But if you include titles from back in the days the cup was a Challenge series, things are different.

Ottawa does. Hey Pags, are you a bitter Leafs fan or where do you stand? If you are a Leafs fan, you are hard-pressed to ditch on an expansion team after 41 years of futility. If not, I'm not quite sure where the hostility to the Sens comes from.

The current Senators recognize the past victories. The banners are hanging in their arena! As well as Frank Finnigan's retired jersey.
