Love is and has always been surreal for me. Because I let all my defenses down, it's kinda out there. When or if I get hurt, it is always a feeling of loss, of something breaking, but I never know what until a lot later.
Since I rely on a friendship to develop first, love is never devastating.

I am in this long term relationship for the sex. She knows it, I know it and we both prefer it. 12 years and counting. So relationships of convenience ain't so bad.
