There have been a few times I have lost my patience in similar situations. My husband, mother, and I went into a restaurant once to eat and we waited and waited for someone to come seat us. I would of understood if they've been busy, but there was hardly anyone in there. I lost my patience and told my mother I was going to walk out of the place. I said it loud. When they heard that, here they come. They didn't even give us a full menu. They just gave us what was on the menu for that day. I ask the waitress if we had to order from that. She looked at me and said no really hateful. I said to her just as hateful, "well can we see the full menu"? She said yes. I won't ever eat there any more. The food wasn't that great, either.

I was exactly like that. I have learned to stay calm. I used to try to control everything. But I am not the center of things, especially the universe. We circle the sun, right? Things get done if I don't do them. I also discovered that, if I ask, I can usually get help.(which is kinda important when only one leg works). People like to help when we are in a frustrating situation. In fact they will even do the whole job and be happy to do it. Practice patience, counting to 10--or I stop and think, I have a choice here--I can do like I used to and let my emotions make me look like a fool, or take the other choice, which is to let it pass. Remember, you choose to be patient or not. I used to get doubly frustrated cause then people all concentrate on the impatience or anger, and avoid helping with the problem. Good luck!

I sure do. I try to be understanding when it comes to restaurants and the motor vehicle division....people that work at those places are just doing their jobs and trying to make a living...but when you get rude remarks, or are just treated poorly for no apparent reason, and STILL have to wait to be helped, then yes...The tolerance level is shortened quite a bit!

I have a great amount of patience unless it concerns the following people, my sister, my father, or my stupid boss that likes to repeat the same information over and over again yet loves to leave out the important facts.
yay- I hate my job.

I don't lose it easily. Getting angry after waiting 30 minutes for service wouldn't be considered losing it easily in my book.

No, I don't tend to lose my patience. I learned to have patience by dealing with my parents. I would ask Mom, she'd say "go ask Dad".... So on and so forth.
