I Don think Imus should be fired.I have nappy hair & I am not black. So was my telephone cords also naped together today so what!In regards to Hoe we all know what that means & I wont go into details. But I dont see any women rights activist upset.
I think both Jesse Jackson, Rev. Al Sharpton are getting alot of press & made things worst then it should have been. This was supposed to be a special day but now it was a racial day caused by Imus, Jackson & Sharpton.
Did we forget there are caucasion females on the team too.
I dont see the media letting them speak in front of the cameras.HMM!
I love rap music and it says alot worst than what he said.
Both Sharpton & Jackson Dine with singers & rappers alike. Theres shock jocks too, remember. I do admit its wrong!!!Why are we still in this day in age with so much hate & anger & judjment. Although, our men & women are fighting for our freedom. This includes the freedom of speech as we are Americans.

It's sad, but the only reason is because he's a white man who disrespected black people and sent the pro-black groups into a frenzy. Had there been such an outcry from cancer patients or a group representing them, the result with Stern might have been different but since there wasn't, you have what we have now. Race is still such a sensitive issue in this country that you always have to be PC and watch what comes out of your mouth, because it doesn't take much to set off an outcry if you touch a nerve with the wrong people.

I hate to declare it yet to 3 degree i accept as true with Howard Stern, boy i never concept i could say that, yet he's sweet approximately Al Sharpton. Imus did no longer owe Al Sharpton an apology he owed one to the girls folk on the basketball group yet he never might desire to have been fired. we've unfastened speech i assume as long because it does not offend Al Sharpton or Jessie Jackson

Cancer patients do not have an association to complain against improper treatment that happened eons ago and persistently bring up the beaten to death dead horse to whine and cry and demand monetary compensation, like a certain association with five letters represent and endorse. You may want to ask Jackson and Sharpton what's the deal.

because Stern "only" criticized sick people. Imus criticized black people. It's a WHOOOOLE different thing. Race issues are hot right now.

I personally would like to see more civility everywhere.
However, these guys are hired to do what they do. If it loses its popularity, they can be fired. It's entertainment, and that is not a very stable profession.

hi,
both Imus and Stern should be punished, as long as people allow this kind of behavior out of those kind of people they will forever get away with it. i am not saying take away there freedom of speech but limit what or how they express there thoughts. both Imus and Stern have been finding ways to say what they may or may not feel. don't get upset with a particular group of people because they have chosen to challenge them when they speak out of trun. these men have been puttiing down not just the blacks, but the cathalics, jews, gays, lesbians and anyone else they can think of to keep there rating up or to stay in the eyes of the media. just because one group of people were brave enough to speack out on the doragatory statment made by these men does not make them agory men or haters of a paticular race, it make them men above men everyone in the for mentioned list should speak out when these statments are made about there particular groups. and before i get bashed for what i am saying let me say that if we all do this every time one of them makes those statement then the media and who ever makes the so called rules about this kind of thing will have to step up to the plate and put a stop to their run of the mouth kind of ways. i am so tired of people saying that those of use who are willing to call them on what they say are winners. that i could simpaly scream wrong is wrong i don't care who you are, what color your skin is, or what church you got to, it is wrong to find ways to hurt others. we the group that is in the light with Mr. Imus have been trying to protect our right ever sence we got them some fourty years ago. yes it is that short lived for us, and we are still newbies in the game of politics, yet we are learning fast. because of that we are sensative of how someone else toys with our rights. it has always been odd to me that we have been good enough to fight in the wars of our so called americans, yet when it comes down to us protecting what is ours someone has a problem with it. we fought just like the rest of you to have our political rights and unforcently for those who us it the wrong way that means we get to call you on it. so if you want to call someone out of their name, put down their religious right, or even choese to bad mouth their sexual prforance. then you should get ready to be called on it. in closing i want to ask that everyone who understands what i am saying to make a promise to bring all wrongs to the front lines and demand that this kind of thing be stoped.

You pay trash talkers big bucks, what do you get.
Its like feeding your dog cookies for minor things.
He says, they loved that???
I can do much better/worse than that and they will pay me more.
