I never thought that until the Imus thing. Almost every white person is saying the exact same thing "Why can't Imus say 'nappy headed ho' when rappers say it?"
Thats is really poor reasoning. I also find it amusing that suddenly white people have become experts on rap lyrics. It becoming obvious that white people aren't thinking for themselves on this, it seems to me they are just parroting the same arguments that they see from the parrots on TV.

All I am saying is, so far I've only heard one argument in his defense. The same one again and again.

Before I heard what he had said, I thought he said the N word. When I learned that he said "nappy headed hoes." I thought to myself: Is this racist? A lot of white people I know have nappy hair. I also know a lot of white people who are hoes. I don't know about rap lyrics, but is it that serious?

I am an avid rap fan and have been for the last 10 years! You name I've heard it & probably love it! While I really don't agree with what Imus said about the basketball players, I don't think he should be fired for it! Yes it was rude but people are mean and say rude things everyday. It is very true that rappers say far more deragatory things about women then "nappy head ho". It was a stupid and ignorant thing to say but I honestly don't think it should be all over the news and being protested about. There are far more important things going on in the world then some jerk making a rude comment on the radio. I agree that racism and prejudice needs to stop, but this idiot knows what he said was wrong! There are kids on the playground that say worse things to eachother everyday! Come on now, is "nappy headed ho" really that big of an insult! Lighten-up. btw...no all white people do not think alike and I am far from a "parrot"

There is a double standard in our culture and more and more people are beginning to see it.........even Dems/Libs now admit the double standard. The evidence is so over whelming that even the most liberal minded person can see it. All white people do not think alike all the time but more and more they are thinking alike on this issue because it is plain and clear there is a double standard.
Remember several years ago when the White dude was fired for using the term "*********" in the presence of a predominately Black group? What more evidence do you need for no Black person would have been fired for making such a comment that can not by any stretch be considered racist. It only sounded racist so the White guy got axed.
And the REAL double standard is that I and others are labeled racists just for bringing up the double standard. In fact the racist label has been used so liberally it hardly has any meaning any longer.

I thought I was the only one that felt kind of like that. I do not think all white people think alike, but I keep hearing the same argument of "What's wrong with Imus saying what rappers say in their lyrics" I caught a minute of The View this morning and the little blonde one ( I forget her name) said the same thing she even read off a rap song's lyrics. Her argument was rappers say the N word and hoes in lyrics so where do we draw the line? What she really wanted to say is "What's the difference between a white man saying it and a black rapper saying it?!"
It is wrong to speak about women like that in rap lyrics in the first place, so why would it be any different for a white radio personality or any other man to say those things?

This is a stupid question...I agree with whoever said "Do all black people think alike?..that's your answer"
I am black...and I am NOT offended by what he said. I am dumbfounded by Snoop Dogg saying that him saying ho and ***** is different b/c he is not speaking of collegiate women who have taken their education to a higher level. That is the biggest load of crap I have heard in a looooooooooong time. I guess it's okay to call someone a ho if they don't have an education, lol.
Imus is not my best friend or anything, but it wasn't the worst thing in the world. If I would have said it, no one would be saying a damn thing...that's all I'm saying.
Using your argument..I can say the same of our fellow black people. Whenever the idiots Jesse Jackson and stupid A$$ Sharpton get up....black people just parrot that crap as well.
There is always going to be a portion of the population that doesn't think for themselves..and it is scary how big that portion is.

why does ur avatar look so mean?
white people dont have to be experts. im not white but clever to know that rap is getting stupid by the day. I dont pop my collar when i go to work or get a cadilac and throw some d's, then go home and smack a biatch, then roll a spliff and drink a 40 and go to bed.
white people dont need to think alike, we all need to stop the stupidy that is being dislayed by the lack of education our brothers have, they think their smock way of calling women and buying cars in their songs is the way to get their money, and we like idiots are jamming to the songs and buying their cds.
maybe imus will open everyones eyes.

The reason why you are hearing the same defense is because they don't have a good enough one to come back with! No not all white people think a lot, but the ones that do think that way are ignorant to begin with so why even let it bother you. Roll it off your shoulder and know that you are better than them because you are able to think for yourself and see the real issue at hand here.

No all of us don't think alike, people like Imus give all white people a bad name. Things like that is what makes white people look bad, cause one old white dude mad that comment doesn't mean me or other white people want to say the same things. See, I would take offense to that comment myself cause my daughter is mixed.

LOL - Great point.
To answer your question "Do all white people think alike"? My answer would be NO we do not!
It is unfortunate that there are people out in the world like Imus who think the same brainwashed way but take comfort in knowing that there are more people of color (All sorts)in the world then there are of us white folk.
The only pure race is the human race!

don't think what you see in the media is representative of all white people. That's too much of a blanket statment. I was outraged at what Imus said. I'm glad several big sponsors pulled away from his network. You can't fight racism with racism so let's call this out for what it is, a old white guy who made a racist comment, who is probably biased. people who are defending him are probably biased as well. That doesn't mean all white people feel that way or defned him or his comments.
