It is a very good start. Any and all aerobic exercises you can do will increase you metabolism and reduce you feeling or being hungry as your body adjusts to your diet. And I think that your time line is realistic....something most people over estimate.
A suggestion? You probably plan to do it but try to increase your 15min-30min-15 min program to 30-30-30 at 1st and then perhaps 30-45-30. That will of course increase your weight lose.
Back in Iraq I purposely went from 225lbs to 175lbs in 7 weeks. All through exercises and diet...reduction of caloric intake. How ever I went to just 1 meal per day. I would not advise that unless you're in very good shape.
Good luck to you!

You will lose weight if your calorie intake is less than your calorie burn. Exercising will help you get there and maintain that reduced weight. As I understand it, it will also make your ability to memorise and recall things increase.... so you will be smarter as well as healthier.
Some people say you should reckon on losing 1 pound per week. I think, based on my exercise regime over the last 5 months, that is a realistic goal.

Absolutely. Good metabolism and calorie burning is routed in how long you work, as well as how vigorously. Change in routine is also great for the body. Good plan! I do one like that too, but check mine out, its:
run as fast as i can for 30 seconds (great cardio)
then jog for 3 minutes-jogging on a pumped up heartrate will burn extra calories
then i run as fast as i can again, then jog, then run, and so on and so forth. i lost two pounds after doing that routine for 30 minutes.
