I AGREE NOT THE PREVIOUS ANSWER.

During Mixing Processes, Solute undergo spreading in the Solvent's Bulk so all the Solvent's Mass may meet the Solute.
On the other way, you may imagine a Solvent's Film standing over the Solute's Mass may undergo SATURATION on the Solute's Containt.
This Film slow-dow the Dissolution's Rate since it impeach the Solvent's Bulk to meet the Solute's Mass.
You understood the role played by mixing.
