I personally don't like rock that much, just maybe a couple of songs. But most of the songs are annoying and loud. Its like someone screaming over loud electric guitars playing for like 5 minutes, and it kinda hurts your ears for a while. Nowadays, its a mixture of teeny-bopper pop and rock, and both are annoying (worst mixes).

Why do you hate or like rock music? (Just need some oppinions)

That's pretty much like asking why people like Rap music. Isn't it just a bunch of black guys singing about smackin' up their b(itch)? It's called Stereotyping.

Personally, I love rock music. To me, it's not just loud music or a bunch of guys screaming and playing electric guitars. Their songs actually have meaning and alot of the stuff they sing about, people can relate to.

hahaha...no, it's certainly not just LOUD music - because that my friend is a complete stereotype. That's like saying that all rap music is about sex, whores and violence (not true btw). Rock music - talking strictly about the sounds here - uses more electric instruments - guitar, keyboard, to amplify the sound more, giving the music a more intense effect. It's not by any means "LOUD" as you say, unless you believe in the stereotype. Yes, there are certain bands and songs that may use excessive chords, and loud riffs and such, but there are many fantastic rock songs that have gorgeous melody! More than I can say for some of the other crap out there - all that pop bs ...Gwen Stefani (who used to be freakin awesome), Fergie (who always sucked) - what the hell is that? That's not music - that's pure crap.

Music is all personal preference, some people think country is a bunch of whiners crying over their ex wife or what ever. People think jazz is annoying because there is nothing to sing along too. Same with classical, it's opera music. While at the same time, people love country, jazz, or classical and wont listen to anything else.

If you don't like rock, then don't listen to it, it is your right. There is a lot of other music in this world you will like. And besides, maybe you don't like the rock artist your listening to, maybe there is another rock artist out there that you will fall in love with.

Most rap drives me up a wall, but here lately some of the songs I'm hearing on the radio just hit a spot and I like the songs, but then another song comes on and I can't get it off fast enough.

I like rock, country, classical, and some r&b/rap just depends, i'm very eclectic. :)

I think the music now-a-days is getting better. Now, it is bands that sing about real things just like back in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Just now-a-days, it is bands like Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, and My Chemical Romance that are doing it. I think if you actually listened to them, you would realize that the new My Chemical Romance CD (The Black Parade) is their best CD because you can understand it. The other two (I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Your Love and Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge) were good but Gerard Way (the lead singer) was a little hard to understand. Panic! At The Disco is very easy to understand and in Fall Out Boy Patrick Stump (lead singer) just needs to enunciate. He has an accent. Green Day's 2005 album (American Idiot) was just about the problems in the country and since there were only 3 people in the band (Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool) I think it is kind of hard to be singing over the band. Bowling For Soup is one of the easiest bands to understand because he sings about famous people. The music now-a-days is getting a lot better. The old rock and heavy metal was just a bunch of druggies and stoned people that tried to make a living from starting a band. That is just my opinion.

No It's not just loud music!
I don't know rock you've heard (probably bad modern mainstream ones like grenday...) but Rock is based on Jazz, Blues and country so it definetly has rhythme. If you listen to good rock (Pink Floyd, Boston, The Beatles) you will hear alot more than loud music. Rock isn't even nececarilly loud (like Simon and Garfunkel and The Grateful Dead) I think you have the wrong idea of what id rock. Most rock music has a good beat, good instrumentals and good vocals, lyrics and themes. Thats why I love Rock.

first of all if you know anything about music all rock is not screaming over loud electric guitars. that is only the new wave emo/hardcore music played today. if you go back a couple decades like the 60's, 70's, and 80's there is no rock music with screaming, it is good pure music with good talened bands. and i do agree this screaming and teeny-bopper pop-rock is crap

Rock is not loud music. It's a type of music like country or classical. Some people just play rock music loud, but if someone wanted, Country and Classical music can also be played loud.

Truth be told I LOVE rock music. But I have to agree that some of the new rock bands suck, and it is just plain annoying to listen to them. However if you listen to Classic Rock bands, such as Journey,Styx,Aerosmith, and so on, you will find, even if its hard to admit, that they are some of the most talented people ever to set foot on this earth. And most of them can play any kind of music from Classical to Metal, they just choose Rock. This is of course just my opinion, but I belief that that is what you wanted.

I love rock. The harder, the better. When I listen to loud, bass-filled, drum-banging rock, I just feel great... I'm not a very outspoken person, and tend to bottle up my anger and stress... So when I listen to rock, it feels like all my anger and rage just melts away! I can't stand all that sappy manufactured pop music.
