I tried and tried-- but my sisters and I only got it to go three stairs.

I wasnt able to get that to work quite right, but who cares, it was fun anyway!

I got my slinky down 8 stairs lots of times (it was our longest staricase in that house) but then I snapped about a quarter off because it got tangled. It never recovered and now does a maximum of 3 stairs...
(it was a plastic funky coloured one, not the original metal type one)

distant memory but we got it to go down loooong flight of stair ... my big sister was the brains of the operation.
it was a metal one with a couple little kinks in it

my kids love to try to get the slinky to decend the stairs and it's fun to wath them cuz they give it little "helps" all the way down...

Yes but i am old and back then we had the metal ones ,they were heavier ,the plastic ones are child safe but they dont work sweety,it is virtually impossible
