You're fine, 300ft won't hurt anything, you'll never get into high gear. In fact, you'll never get out of low gear.

you may desire to be waiting to apply a a million/2 ton comprehensive length pickup as long as you're no longer interior the mountains. somebody in yet another trailering question suggested they study in a mag (Horse & Rider?) that the minimum wheelbase you need to use is 114 inches, which regulations out maximum SUV's. My final truck replace right into a 1985 Ford F-a hundred and fifty and it did basically wonderful pulling 2 horses, yet could knock going up long hills except I used ninety 3 octane gas for towing. It had 2 gas tanks so I saved one crammed with 87 and one with ninety 3! Now I also have a 2002 Chevy 2500HD and you will't even tell the trailer is back there.

Try to lighten the traler by emptying some of the stuff out of it if you're concerned about it. However, since you're only gouing 300 feet, I'd say, give it a shot; at best, the trailer will not move; at worst, you'll smell some burning clutch (if the suv has a stick shift). I wouldn't worry about doing any harm since it's only 2,250 over the limit and you're only moving it a few hundred feet. If you're really that worried about it, why don't you hire a commercial mover to move the trailer?

You will be fine. 300 ft. will not do any damage. Just don't try to do it with low tire pressure cause it will just make it a lot more strain on the trans. to get it moving. If the suv is in good shape it should have no problem with it. The weight rating is for highway use. Safety standards.

Just use low gear, make sure the ground is hard and clear, and check tire air pressure, you can inflate the tires up to 40 psi on the SUV and depending on the trailer tire up to 60 psi.

Slow and easy...very small distance...no problem.
follow all of the previous advice and you will not have any issues.
Do it when the ground is hard, and it will be a lot easier to get moving and stay moving.
