I was just thinking this as well.. lol Well if you sing the theme song who lives in a shell under the sea.. hmm that just doesn't seem right. Even house. So yes, he really does because then I'd have to sing the theme song different and that would just mess everything up..

Well he would look silly living in an Easter Island head house or under a rock, or in a treedome. So yes. Spongebob needs a pineapple to live in under the sea.

No, but the banana was just a little too yellow, the strawberries have those little seeds... and the grapes are too small, and well you see the only option was the pineapple!
