I live in rural KY. Everyone waves at everyone on the road. It doesn't hurt anyone. Kinda nice really.
Yes, this has happened to me, but who cares. My aunt always says, "You're not that important, Noone's looking at you anyway!" Good advice. Don't worry about it!

Yeah, and as funny as that is, it's much worse when someone looks in your direction and says "hi!" And then when you respond, you find out that they're talking with someone right behind you! It's even worse still when the person they're talking to has your name...lol I had that happen today...I felt like an idiot!

yeah , actually it happened a couple of days ago, but the person was a good sport and waved right back at me. she even said "hi to you too" heheh even with that reassurance i couldn't stop my terrible blush and embarrassment.
