Just wondering if I should get one for my triumph.

They are not illegal or unsafe.
All they do is make the bike 'big' enough for the sensor loop to recognize that a vehicle is waiting for the light. Many swear that they work, some say no.
I have heard that some people will shut the motor off & start it again at the light, causing the loop to sense something & trip the light. Others put the sidestand down when pulling up so that there is metal closer to the sensor wire.
Last resort is waiting for a while and when the light doesn't turn green, look both ways & go anyway. Now THAT is kinda unsafe, and kinda illegal...

I use the Signal Sorcerer motorcycle traffic light signal changer. I read a bunch about them in the forums and bought one. It works great, and now several of my firends have them and love them. I'm not sure, I'd have to agree with Rocco.
The magnetic field is supposed to simulate a larger piece of steel.
To be honest, I haven't been stuck at a red light since I got the Harley. Not even where I used to all the time. It's been nice.

General concensus is that light triggers and deer whistles are 'snake oil'. Spend your money on something shiney. Or something in a skirt.

They don't work as you think by turning the light green for you, I believe. They are also illegal because they can cause accidents. I do admit, the light system needs a major overhaul, but this isn't the way to get around it, unfortunately.

I don't know if they work. They are a magnet in a plastic housing.
