The Cleveland Indians needed a place to play since their stadium was under a foot of snow, they call up Milwaukee who has a retractable roof on Miller park and the staff rallies to put together everything in 24 hours, staffing the park, ordering food, etc. Then 19031 fans show up to support their temporary home team, many just to enjoy a game of baseball for $10 that they could not afford normally. another 16000+ showed up tonight.
I don't know how many cities in MLB would actually turn out like this to support someone else's team, the Indians commented how they almost felt at home, except for the sausage races of course. The crowd at Miller Park was larger than they were expecting at Jacobs Field.

Reva, those were tickets sold by the Miller Park Staff, not the Indians.

Milwaukee has always been a class act in both fans and the city being great when it comes to baseball. This just shows again why it is a great thing the Brewers have not been sold and moved!

MLB doesn't count bodies in the seats but tickets sold. Many of those tickets sold were sold to season's ticket holder IN CLEVELAND. Others were sold to people with partial season's ticket plans or to single game ticket holds IN CLEVELAND.

Once you have those number, you can deduct them for the total announced attendance, and you'll know how many people in the Milwaukee area actually bought tickets for these games.

This is, however, extraordinarily generous on behalf of the Miller Park owners, who have to pay for the staff, the cleaning crews, the water, the power, etc, just as they would for a Brewers game, and without getting any real revenues from these games. Then again, that impostor is still in the commissioners office.

And there were only 2 warm weather teams that were on the road for these three days - the Brewers and the Astros. No, they could not play these games in Anaheim, and the Angels have to be in Boston on Friday.

Three cheers for the owners, operators and staff at Miller Park, but that's really as far it goes. And after all, if your neighbour's house in on fire, you don't argue over the price of your garden hose, you just loan it. That's really all that's happening.

Actually, I think a lot of cities would do that if the need arose.
True baseball fans will see a game - any game- at their park as long as they can cheer, have ballpark food, hear the crack of the bat, and enjoy the company of others that share their love of the game.

Just shows the quality of fans in Milwaukee. I agree on the Minnesota fans. I don't like going to watch games at the metrodome.
