between the parties a North and South thing? You can draw a line from the west edge of Minnesota and wind it south along the Appalacian Mountains,,,basically the old Union states...and divide the current parties (minus variations in urban areas) and describe the differnence between the parties today. Keep in mind that the present southern Democrats are very Conservative and rarely Liberal.

I am a 5th generation Texan and a Life long Democrat now from West TX........Remember LBJ a Democratic President from Texas ?
Most of my family votes Democratic.

its funny because during the Civil war days the South was Democratic and the north were Republicans. how things have changed
