I am sorry I don't know what a Pleco is. But I will find out on google ... 1 to 2 feet (specifically 16 to 20 inches for Liposarcus species)
I found a website for you.

Often the pleco you buy in stores are "common" pleco which grow to around 1 foot, and sailfin which grow to 2 feet. Of course there are about 50 different species of them some small and some big. See planet catfish.

PS- Pleco don't grow to fit the tank. They may not grow as big in a small tank if they don't get a balanced diet, or enough food.

I once had a pair of common plecos that was 16" and 19", the male being the larger of the two. I did see a few larger at the farm where I bought mine. Maybe about 22" or so.
