i need a science project?

Question

i have a science project due soon and im in 8th grade im working with a partner and before we started i thought i would put a question on here to see if any one had any good ideas or good science sites -that are free- thx

It might be fun to do a project on the biology of the Great White Shark. They are fascinating creatures and you could really have fun with it. Plus I am sure no one else would do the same project and it may be noticed because it is so different. There are many books out there. I did a college project on the Evolution of Sharks and found a wealth of information. Good luck!

I not sure. If you had a small electric motor maybe out of an old Walkman Cassette player or something and use a Flashlight Battery and a toy car you may make an electric car.
The link have some ideas, I think they try to sell the kits for the project. But, you may be able to make this stuff from things laying around.

I won 1st place for my 8th grade science fair for this one (just don't ask me how long ago that was!)

Go out and collect leaves from a bunch of different trees. (Depending on where you live, it might be difficult this time of year.) Crumple up the leaves and mix equal amounts of leaf pulp with distilled water. Use this water concoction to water grass seed which gets an equal amount of sunlight. (Each type of leaf gets its own grass.) The purpose of the project is to see which leaf provides the right nutrients to make grass grow better.

You should do a T-shirt chromatography...
1. get a white tee
2.Materials- rubbing alcohol, white tee, colorful markers(not permanent)
3. on the white tee do shapes like hearts, boxes, letters in dots
4. take alcohol and drop it over the colored areas and watch how the markers separate into the colors that form it. If you use black you can show that it has more colors, than for example the color green, which would only show you blue and yellow, and black would show you every color.
It is a fun experiment and then you can where the shirt outside if it looks really nice...
