Believe it or not, people out of the blue come and hug me all the time. I just smile and hug them back. People just seem to feel safe with me. It does get annoying at times though.

Depends on the circumstances. To be socially polite, maybe. There is a way to hug somebody you don't know very well with out letting them get too close. I'm not usually much of a hugger though.

I would probably keep them at arms length or not hug back , I'm not the type who shows much affection publicly .
