x: 0 1 2 3 4
y: 0 2 4 6 8

x: 0 1 2 3 4
y: 3.5 4.5 5.5 6.5 7.5

x: 0 1 2 3 4
y: -1 1 3 5 7

x: 0 1 2 3 4

in the first series of numbers y clearly equals two x.
in the next series y equals x plus 3.5
in series three it seems y equals 2 times x minus 1
next, it seems -2x + 5 =y
finally 2X-5 equals y

the slope is what x gets multiplied by; if there is no number in front, a "1" is assumed
