Texas Rocks I used to go to Kealing Junior high school there in Austin and 6th street rocked too but,... California sorry to say,... is the ultimate of ULTIMATES!!! Texas pride is bigger than any other state which is to be admired but, California's landscape, cultural diversity, and economy is simply better!!! I love the Longhorns and the Cowboys but on the WHOLE,... California is leaps and bounds better!!! Millions of people don't flock from all across the world to see the Alamo (probably because they are afraid of stopping in any other small town besides the big cities late at night if their not matching with the people around them) So I would choose Cali.

I have been to Texas quite a few times my husband is from there. He lived in a few different towns, but the last place he lived was Round Rock before he join the navy and came to philly and married me. So I know everything that you are talking about people from Texas are proud to be Texan!!! I just love me some cowboys!!! lol I tease my hubby and tell him that he is a yankee now, lol Texas is a beautiful state, I also love how everyone waves to you as you drive by. The first time I visited my hubby took me sight seeing and like 3 people waved as we drove by, and I asked him do you know those people he said no thats just what people do here, well after that I had a ball waving at every body . lol We are due for a visit as soon as we can. My mother-in-law now lives in Mesquite. so I am proud to be married to a TEXAN!!! lol

Live in Houston now, soon to move to Austin. I agree with you on many points about Austin, but I still think it rocks. The native Texas are, by and large, friendly. Don't forget the beautiful hill country just outside the city.

thanks for the question. My head says Longhorns yet my heart says Texas Tech because you ought to consistently cheer for the underdogs. The college of Texas has traditionally been considered a school football powerhouse, with 4 nationwide titles to their credit, at the same time with one to finish the 2005-2006 season. From 1936 to 2004, the team finished the season contained in the proper ten 23 circumstances, or one-third of the time, in accordance to the linked Press. Texas Tech's brilliant power is in its basketball communities. i'm hoping that the red Raiders make you proud this year. Regards

I was in San Antonio for about 6 months years ago, and loved it. Cannot say much about the rest of the state I never saw it. I live in NH now and we get Massholes who move up here and try to make it into a second Massachusetts with laws for every little thing, so I know what you mean. I guess they don't understand the state motto of Live free or die.

I live in Texas...and i would just have to say that it's pretty kick-***
Really depending on where you are in Texas determines how much you like it. If you are in the middle of nowhere in Po-dunk, Texas...then you might not find it as enjoyable as a big city in Texas.
Or maybe you're a suburban kinda person- love your space and are in a convenient place (i made that up by myself just so you know)
