That there are some things we can't know. Unless we put a tape recorder there, right.

When a tree falls and no matter where it falls it certaily make a sound. My understanding of this question is peoples seldom bother things happening far away from them. They do not understand that one tree falls mean one tree less and therefore less oxygen will be provided in the atmosphere. Do yourself and mankind a little favour, plant at least a tree every year and tell others to do the same. Thank you.

I believe your question should read, 'If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a NOISE?" And the answer is "no", because a noise is a humans' perception of sound.

No.
Sound can only be heard by creatures with the sensory organs or equipment to perceive or record the sound vibrations the falling tree makes when hits the ground..

Scientifically yes there will be sound , but one not being there to hear it ,that person obviously won't hear it because he is some were else too far to perceive the sound waves that the falling tree has made .

No, because no one was there to see it fall, either. And a tree that doesn't fall doesn't make a sound.
...except for the "whooshing" noise that tree leaves make in the wind.
:)

Scientifically, vibratory stimuli will be created whether there is a receptor or not.
Philosophically, if the definition of sound is that which is interpreted by the ear, then no sound is made due to the absence of ear.
The decision is with the asker, where are your sentiments, in science or philosophy?

Of course it makes a sound. Don't you think it would be very short-sighted to assume that there is no sound just because there is no human there to hear it?
What about the birds, animals and bugs that are there?
Regardless of philosophy, sound is caused by friction and travels in waves. It doesn't exist because animals have ears.

Quantum Mechanics says yes, subjective reasoning says no.
Though I'm sure you already know this there is no air on the moon. Maybe if you could put a microphone to moons surface you could get a noise.
