My husband and I can't agree on a girl name (we don't even know if we're having a girl but I want to have one picked anyways.) So I want other peoples oppinions. Which name do you like better: Alysa or Megan?

People keep commenting on the spelling of Alysa. The reason I like it spelled like that is because it means 'princess' and I like that better than the meaning for the name Alyssa.

Both are very cute names. I think Megan is easier to spell, pronounce, and find things printed with it. Alysa is very pretty but a little less common and people will often pronounce it wrong. Really I don't think you could go wrong with either.

Megan Alysa is CUTE!!

I like Megan. I also think Alysa is pretty, but I think Alicia is prettier.

IF you really like those two names I'd go for Megan Alysa.

Alyssa and Alysa have the same meaning, they are both a varient of Alice. Alice means 'of noble kind' not 'princess'.

Out of those to I like Alysa. I would perfer the spelling Alyssa, because it doesn't really matter, if they don't mean different things.

If you want names that mean 'princess' try:

Adaeze, Almira, Ameerah, Amira, Amirah, Botum, Elmira, Himeko, Kala, Kaur, Kumari, Lula, Orla, Sadie, Sallie/Sally, Sarah/Sara, Sarina, Sarita, Suri, Talley/Tallie, Tallula, Tuilelaith or Urbi.
