They are respected, to a certain degree.

Teachers because their pay is not very high. Which I think is a ridiculous excuse to not respect someone.

It's just those few bad apples that don't respect the police.

i respect teachers very much, but have mixed feelings about the police

teachers work long hours for low pay, just to bestow a little bit of knowledge into the people of the world

police sometimes like to bust your butt for doing things that really werent hurting anybody, because its their job

Teachers have been stripped of any say as to whether their pupils are held back or sent to the next grade.. it is up to the parents... even if the teachers are sure that the student has not learned enough to do well in the next grade.

Because people dont like getting yelled at even if its going to help them in the long run. and people need more respect
