A couple of months ago I was diagnosed with a heart condition and they gave me some pills for my headaches. Since then my mom has been asking for my pills when she has a headache and made me give one to my sister. I have a limited number of refills and only 30 pills in a bottle. I have refrained from taking a pill because I get close to running out. She said that if I didn't give her some then next time she wouldn't get them refilled or she would tell the doctor that I didn't need them. I don't know what to do since she is the one that pays for them, but I don't want the doctor to wonder why I am taking so many. What should I do?

You need to talk to the doctor. Not all medications are harmless or are appropriate for people with different conditions. It might be bad for someone without a heart condition to take your pills (not even counting that she is behaving very badly in using up your medication like that). Also, your pills are specifically for you, and regular headaches can be handled by any over-the counter aspirin or advil or such, which are lots cheaper. Unfortunately being a parent doesn't make you an adult, so you're going to have to be mature for both of you. Be patient with her and hope she grows up at some point, but definitely work on being a responsible adult for yourself - stand your ground politely but firmly on issues like this.

You just might have to explain to the doctor and he will advise you of what to do from there, most likely he will give you samples or hook you up with a pharmaceutic company so you want have to pay.

That's crazy!!! If you are sick, your mom needs to get her priorities straight. Tell you dad or someone in the family that will back you up!!
