help with sand?

i have magic sand (can be seen here-http://www.metacafe.com/watch/21435/magic_sand/) and i can't find a way to drain the water out and get all of it out of the cup.i tried pouring it through a paper towel and a piece of cloth but it always sticks and is really hard to get off.

On the one you show above, they pour the water off by using a water wand. That is what you need. See reference below.
