It is in Arizona USA. I am an Arizona resident (Phoenix) and it gets very hot here, but the Grand Canyon is cool durring the summer and sometimes snowy in the winter. I have been to the Grand Canyon many times, and I recomend going to Hermit's Rest and the Skywalk (if you can afford it). But the Grand Canyon is not the only canyon in Arizona. I would also recomend Canyon de Chelly in North-East Arizona, and Meteor Crator. Down near Tucson, you can find the Crystal Caves, and by Ajo are the copper mines. Sadona is the best place in all of Arizona.
The best part about living here is that it is dry, not humid. If you sweat in the summer, it evaporates when you stay still. The bad part is that sometimes too much water will evaporate and you can get dehydrated or get a heat stroke. Sunburns don't bother people doen here because it is one of the only places where aloe vera grow and a small amount cures most burns instantly.
Arizona is known for it's beautiful sunsets. I didn't know this for a long time and was shocked to see that when I traveled, other places had boring sunsets. A picture of an everyday sunset can be found here: http://www.shutterfreaks.com/albums/album22696/az_sunset_0577.jpg

Arizona has a lot of wildlife, but not like what you would find in the north. It is home to coyotes, rattlesnakes, scorpions, and many species of birds.
Phoenix is constantly growing and real estate is expected to be at it's lowest ever soon!
But be warned, Phoenix drivers are very bad.

Arizona, USA.

If you're going to the Grand Canyon, then Flagstaff is a good place to stay especially if you are youth hosteling. The youth hostel itself is a bit close to the railway track but it's a great place and as its a student town it's good craic in the evenings.

Arizona is a great state, although Utah is as good if you're into canyon type parks.

It is in the Northwest corner of Arizona which is the U.S. I was there once when I was little. It's beautiful. If you ever get the chance to go - do it! Pictures are nothing like actually being there.
