I am here to get this right. If I do, I don't think I need to come back any more.
A long time ago I thought that love was something that you reserved for some special set of people that you had judged worthy of it.
After a while I got to thinking about what Jesus had said about turning the other cheek and loving our neighbor I put the two together and realized that he had made no exceptions in these statements. It became obvious to me that he intended that we exclude no one from the love that we are supposed to be giving. I started thinking about my idea of love and suddenly realized that I had not been loving anyone at all. I had simply been judging everyone and every thing.
Judging someone worthy of love is not love, it is only judgment. I actually started to cry when I realized this. I saw just how much of my life I had wasted being judgmental, thinking of myself as a Christian, when I was actually doing just the opposite of what Jesus had asked us to do.
I thought about the verse judge not lest ye be judged, and I understood it for the first time.
I realized that I have a lot of catching up to do. So many opportunities were wasted. I now try to apply the love that I have for the world in a universal way like Jesus asks us to do.
If I start to feel afraid and think that I see someone that I should not love because of something I have thought or heard I try to catch my mistake as soon as possible. I tell myself that I have forgot the truth and have fallen for the same old trick that had cost me so many opportunities to be loving in the past. The horror of this realization is often all that is necessary to bring me back to my senses and make me drop the judgmental nonsense I was thinking.
I still have a lot to learn about love, but at least I’m making progress.
Love and blessings
Your brother

Life's meaning is not pre-determined and planned out. You must find your own destiny and meaning; you must create it. You have something -- life, the here-now, the present -- and must make the best out of it. You must answer why you are here.
In my opinion, I feel that the goal of life is simple. It is to thrive and be happy. None of us had a "choice" in whether or not we were born, but now that we are alive we have the power to either enjoy it or end it. If you find yourself in a situation, you should strive to make the best of it. Increase your happiness. Have fun with things. If you're going to be alive anyways, you might as well have a good time while you're at it.
So the purpose of life is to give life a purpose; the goal of life is to enjoy it.

I was thinking about this today.
I realized my purpose in life is to just make myself content. My friend was saying he is scared to die without changing the world and being known, and I asked him why. And he didn't have an answer. Why should we change anything? Things aren't getting better. Why should that be your purpose in life? What's so wonderful about being known?
I have a lot of different views and beliefs, and one day I want to write a book. That's my purpose in life. To be happy, healthy, and believe in my own things.

My purpose in life is to exercise every day; aerobics every day, stretching every day, and weightlifting once a week. By doing these things I make my body strong and healthy.
By being strong and healthy, I can work a good job with good pay, which allows me to give my wife, our son, and our dog a nice home and a good life.
By being strong and healthy, I can take my wife, our son, our wife's sister and her two children on vacation once every 2-3 months of which gives all of us happiness for being together.
And by being strong and healthy, I can live for a very long time. I am 54. Plan to live to age 120 healthy, happy, and strong.
And my purpose in life is to teach others how THEY can be strong and healthy, too. I do this with Yahoo Answers and Allexperts. Look under Exercise, then weightlifting or aging. Look for David.

My ultimate purpose in life is to experience as much of it as I possibly can, for as long as I possibly can. I want to live forever, not because I fear death, but because I'm so in love with life.
I'll only add that everyone has their own purpose which each individual must discover, or create, for themselves. As free, sentient beings with free will, it can be no other way.

I thoughts on life is this: If God will end another persons life to teach YOU a lesson, life has no purpose. Just do the best you can and we'll find out if we did it right at the end.

I think that while you need to continually do your best to find what your purpose in life, I think that being obsessive about it will really just hinder you in your attempt to find it.
My purpose in life is to learn to work past my defenses in order allow myself to fogive others so that I can then be free to be instrumental in others' spiritual journeys.
Why? Because helping others fulfills me and improves them as well

Each person finds their individual "meaning" to life.
For some, it may involve marriage and family.
For another, it might be teaching an academic subject or tutoring a young artist or musician.
For another, it might be complete, total hedonism.
For another, it might be the life of a slacker; taking the path of least resistance wherever possible.

Purpose? Perhaps it is simply to come to the fulfillment of our nature. If this is so, then, the deeper question is: "what precisely is a human nature and to what purpose is it directed?"
