A gift certificate to a nice clothing store, or a store that sells makeup, like Merle Norman. You could give her a gift certificate to a Spa. I like Starbucks gift cards myself, or to a nice restaurant. Mom is going to love whatever you give her.

Gift certificates are a lazy present. Tells the person that you didn't care enough to think of something they would want. That you care so little that you just want to get it over with.

mothers love giftcertificates to a local spa to relax.. or their favorite clothing store, or to their favorite mall,, but most of all, to their favorite grocery store!
