I make a days worth of formula the night before. I use very very hot water, which eliminates all the clumping. Then I store it in the fridge until I'm ready to use it. I just pop it into the microwave for a few seconds (35 seconds for 5 oz bottle), then make sure to shake it well to eliminate hot spots before serving.

that happened to me too and about the time my son was ready to go off the bottle accidetally put the water in the formula in the bottle first and then the water, it worked great the water mixed into th formula better and no clumps, but you still need to shake good and make sure you shke up an down and side to side.

I always use warm water and shake it side to side first then up and down. I also put the formula in first then I measure the water out in another container and then pour it in to mix it.

maybe if you made a larger batch like in a quart bottle and kept it in the fridge, it would have more time to dissolve the clumps.

instead of shaking it up and down.. try shaking the bottle sideways/almost circular motion.

have the water hot when you mix it, it should stop this from happening.
