Sealing- your records still exist but are not available for public viewing or available to the authorities without a court order.
Expunging- your records will no longer exist. They cannot be found and there will not be a record of them anywhere for viewing by the public or the authorities.

Sealing your records keeps it from being seen or used by agencies against you, usually sealed records are for minors. To expunge something from your record is to have it removed as if it never existed.

expunging means the judge agrees to have your past downfalls completely omitted from you records. Having them Sealed, doesn't change anything ... nothing gained other than privacy.

If the answers above define 'expunged' correctly, there is no such thing. The records ALWAYS exist somewhere.

You can have your record sealed as an adult too. But typically only for one offense.

Commit a 2nd offense of any kind and all that goes out the window.
