Need help with web cam install?

Its a creative live cam vista IM. I've download it into my computer but I think I need to update my windows media to a windows media video 9, VCM. Is this why this cam is not working? I'm confused as usual!

Go to the web cam manufacturer's web site to see if Vista drivers are available.
