There isn't a Sales tax on gas, there is an excise tax that is pre figured into the per gallon price, If you buy 20.00 in gas you are not charged sales tax on that 20.00. you pay 20.00

The excise tax that is figured into the price per gallon goes towards road repairs and maintenance.and other State and Federal Services
