What does the WORLD need NOW more than EVER?

Rational thought. In politics, society, our personal lives, etc. we humans are making the same mistakes that we should have learned from decades or even centuries ago. Too many decisions nowadays are made based on personal preference, or what "feels" right, or what the popular choice is, paying attention only to the short-term effects & ignoring the long-term consequences. From the fiscal unsustainability of our govt., to the decreasing quality of our educational system, to the utter lack of anything remarkable in our arts & culture, I believe this period will be viewed a century or two from now as the beginning period of a new Dark Age. Even ignoring technological advances, I think both the world and the U.S. will look almost utterly alien by the end of this century. I'm sure we'll pull through eventually, but how long the coming darkness lasts will depend on how aggressively we use, or ignore, our rational abilities.

The World needs now more than ever, people who understand their responsibility concerning their environment. So we "need" to stop polluting the World. For this to happen we need to understand that we as humans have the choice to toxicate our environment or to use the resources wisely. To achieve that we need to understand our purpose as humans again. We not only with our irresponsible actions toxicate the visible world but also with our thoughts and wrong attitude toxicate the "inner"world. Why we do this is based on blindness to see that through love and responsibility we can build our ethereal surrounding the same as if we look after the material surrounding. To separate each from each other is "wrong" and the disease this World suffers under.

What does the World need now more than ever, you asked? In my opinion, what we, not the World needs to be done is have a change of Heart, meaning we, the People of this Earth needs to do, is have comprehension, Unity, Love, Respect, and confidence, among each other and other Nations. For starters the Rain Forest need its trees, which are used for the benefit of other Countries, but, they do not take into consideration the Animals that live in that forest, which needs those trees to keep on living. I could go on and on, of what we, Humans, can do for and each other but, my guess is that some of the people do not care what happens to our Earth,they only care about their own pleasures. So, it pains me that maybe it's the minority that realizes that what we are doing is nothing for each other.

They say all that is, is due to the universe's perfection. Thus according to the idea, everything is perfect as is. Including the wars, and the starvation. Also to be kept in mind, that although these seemingly negative things are part of the world, so is our ability and wanting to for them to cease! If you feel it's a part of your life's goal or mission to do that, by all means. For this, I believe the world could always use more philanthropy and caring.

The global warming will give way to host of atmospheric problems and ground relating issues that somehow will besieged mankind in the years to come. Think of the days where your generations will live in plight, due to inconsideration on the part of countries that care not for the issue of global warming but strictly on economic attainment alone.

The threat of an extinction level event...like an alien invasion or asteroid on a crash course with Earth....a common thing for our species to unite against seeing we can't seem to stop fighting amongst ourselves in lieu of such an event.
