Unfortunately thats a side effect
so is increased hair loss
increased depression

I stopped getting the injection after the 2nd time due to all of the above mentioned side effects

This is fairly normal, just keep an eye on how much you're eating. Depo has high levels of hormones which can make you eat more than normal. If it bothers you too much try switching to either an oral contraceptive or the IUD (which has no hormones, so no weight gain)

Yup, that'll happen. I gained a lot of weight on depo (I was on it for FOUR years) as well as having horrid mood swings and spotting at odd times. After five years you need a bone density check because of the effects depo has on your bone health.

I would never recommend the depo shot for anyone.

so ive heard it makes you fat,thats why i stick to the pill ,you should try it
